2. vive la difference
The difference between liberals and conservatives:
Liberals believe power must benefit everyone to be legitimate, and becomes more legitimate the more widespread and equitable its benefits.
Conservatives believe power SHALL benefit those with power, and to a lesser extent, those who suck up properly to those with power.

6. I wonder who wrote him that letter?
I loved the part of the attack on the Enlightenment, what with my little Voltaire and Paine fetish...

9. Yes, we really are the conservatives now.
Compared with this radical, fascist administration. We're the ones who harp on the "good old days" when presidents followed the LAW.

11. Look up the definition of Conservative and Liberal and repeat what you say
We are not now or ever Conservatives. We are Liberals in the full meaning of the word...

10. this has been my argument. a conservative will say "we dont agree on
politics. in the past i would say,.... you would be surprised how much i do agree. someone said it to me yesterday. i told them, always before the natural response for me would be, we agree more than you think. but today i pause in saying that. because what i believe in the conservative movement is no longer present in the conservative. it is in the democratic party. isnt that a twist

have been saying for a handful of years, the dems have taken the repugs issues......
