Crowds, bullhorns & torches. Outside county election boards Nov. 7. |
|
A la Florida '00.
Whatcha think? After working the polls or getting out the vote, loyal Dems everywhere convene on their county election board and, ahem, stand outside chanting appropriate reminders to the public servants operating the tally machinery inside. Things like "No cheating" and "We demand an accurate count," etc.
Would it make a difference? Say the crowd numbered in the thousands -- would YOU be more or less likely to do your dirty deed? Assuming it *might* make a positive impression, how does one organize such an assemblage?

Every county in America MUST HAVE thousands and thousands of voters demanding a fair election or WE DO NOT CONSENT.

3. A vigil for the life of our Democracy. |

If not torches, candles. Hundreds and hundreds.
And many loud voices.
This has potential, no? It's certainly more productive than watching (doctored) returns on CNN. I've had my fill of that. It's time to take to the streets.

4. I think it is a great idea! |

especially in some Counties in Ohio that have had "problems" with recent elections and a current Secretary of State that was proud to skirt the ethical and legal requirements of his office to deliver the election to W in '04 and voting problems in the primaries in '06

We watched dumbfounded as Hackwell pulled stunt after suppressive stunt in '04. You know he's got even more underhandedness in store this year.
It's high time Democrats said ENOUGH!
We seriously need to organize this. But how?
