Weicker comes back to stump for Lamont

Lowell Weicker Jr. will return to Greenwich, the town where the political maverick began his life in public service, next Friday for a campaign rally supporting Senate hopeful Ned Lamont.

1. Not sure that's good for Lamont

Weicker was not very popular when he left office after signing in CT's first income tax - after promising during his campaign that he'd never allow it to happen. I remember it well - had just moved to CT - partly because there was no income tax, only to be socked with it just months later. Still paying it today - so much for Rowland's promise to "roll it back".

Regardless, I intend to vote for Lamont because I'm way beyond sick of Joe.
