2. I don't agree.

Oversight investigations on a plethora of crimes will yield some pretty unsavory results for America to digest. Hopefully they will be published. America will demand impeachment.

I don't understand your pessimism. Please elaborate.

5. can you imagine
... all the information we internet news junkies know that John Q. Public doesn't know? BushCo has been very clever at controlling information. If America is educated with unequivocal proof, I would guess only the 30% or so of the criminally insane die-hard BushBots will remain steadfast in their adoration. Do Republican politicians have the balls to resist a majority call for impeachment?

Still you might be right. I definitely see your POV.

7. The pukes always stand together.
No matter what. No matter the subject or issue.

I don't see impeachment happening unless the DEMs take control.

And yes, I think the pukes have the balls to do that. Why not? If they're still in control, I feel they will do exactly that.

3. Impeachment? I'd settle for some truth. Like what really happened
on 9/11. The rest will take care of itself

6. Correct. Which is why we HAVE to get the House back in November.
It's the ONLY way we can rehabilitate ourselves - everywhere from the view in our own bathroom mirrors to anywhere else around the globe. It's the ONLY way we can ever seek true justice, and real answers, and force those responsible to ACCEPT that responsibility and be held accountable for their actions. Otherwise, they'll just get away with it all, and if we don't get the House back, you're fooling yourself if you think the republi-CONS will seek any redress listed above. Besides, they'll just trumpet it, all over Christendom that yet again they have a mandate and that everybody likes bush and approves of them, too, and it'll just be more business as usual. If WE take back the House, it might be possible to dislodge some of the few moderate and principled Republicans still in existence, who might be persuaded to do the REALLY "right" thing - by putting their nation before their party and their wannabe dictator. If we don't, they'll just fold back in with the rest of the bad guys and any spine or true principles they were starting to sprout will summarily be nipped in the bud.

We HAVE TO take the House back. Even if we don't get that far in the Senate. Because even if the House approves IMPEACHMENT and the Senate remains in enemy hands, and shoots down the IMPEACHMENT< it will STILL go on bush's record, just as it has with Clinton. He was never convicted. The impeachment launched by the House did not succeed in the Senate (which is what they were hoping - to remove him from office by getting him convicted), but he's still "credited" with being impeached anyway. And believe me, the bad guys will NEVER let us forget that.

So we need to shove the same shit back down their throats, and up their asses.

I'll start playing fair, and making nice, WHEN THEY DO. And NOT A MOMENT SOONER!!!

9. If democrats raised it as a serious issue, and never backed down
It would force the issues into people's awareness and could even force republicans to change their opinions to match public opinion.

The never back down part is the killer though, because "democrat" basicly means "one who backs down".
