The hacking story is just a desperate ploy to get an asterisk
It is a sad, sad ploy by some associated with the Lieberman campaign who know they will lose to Lamont. With this bogus "our website was hacked! (maybe by ned!)" story, Lieberman's camp is hoping they can get an asterisk placed next to Lamont's victory to hopefully confer legitimacy on Lieberman's run as an independent in the general election. It is completely obvious and really quite pathetic.

Think about it. Lamont's campaign is supposedly being driven by who? The liberal on-line bloggers. So who would hack Lieberman's site? Why the very same nefarious people who have used the internet to hurt Holy Joe in the first place. They are hoping the public makes this (seemingly) logical assumption and simply assumes, without any proof whatsoever, that Lamont's supporters were behind the attack.

1. Well, people couldn't go to the polls because the website was down
In fact, many people couldn't start their car.

2. Joe Harding
This whole “someone hacked my website and that’s why I’m losing the primary” bit strikes me as a rehash of the “Tonya Harding: the laces broke on my skates and that’s why I failed to win gold at the Olympics” routine. I see in my mind Tonya crying on the ice to the judges and her face suddenly morphs into Lieberman’s.

6. agree with your assessment
As many others have noted, if only Joe fought this hard for victory in November 2000....
instead, he acted like the mealy mouthed wimp that he is and basically handed Bush the "victory."
We have much to be angry about with Joe.
