1. HEY JOE!
HEY JOE Lyrics

HEY JOE, WHERE YOU GOIN' WITH THAT GUN IN YOUR HAND
HEY JOE, I SAID WHERE YOU GOIN' WITH THAT GUN IN YOUR HAND
I'M GOIN' DOWN TO SHOOT MY OL' LADY
YOU KNOW I CAUGHT HER MESSIN' 'ROUND WITH ANOTHER MAN
YEAH, I'M GOIN' DOWN TO SHOOT OL'MY LADY
YOU KNOW I CAUGHT HER MESSIN' 'ROUND WITH ANOTHER MAN
HUH! AND THAT AIN'T TOO COOL

A-HEY JOE, I HEARD YOU SHOT YOUR WOMAN DOWN
YOU SHOT HER DOWN NOW
A-HEY JOE, I HEARD YOU SHOT YOUR OLD LADY DOWN
YOU SHOT HER DOWN IN THE GROUD

YEAH!

YES, I DID, I SHOT HER
YOU KNOW I CAUGHT HER MESSIN' ROUND MESSIN' ROUND TOWN
UH, YES I DID I SHOT HER
YOU KNOW I CAUGHT MY OLD LADY MESSIN' 'ROUND TOWN
AND GAVE HER THE GUN
AND I SHOT HER

ALRIGHT
SHOOT HER ONE MORE TIME AGAIN BABY!
YEAH!
OH DIG IT
OH ALRIGHT

HEY JOE,
WHERE YOU GONNA RUN TO NOW WHERE YOU GONNA RUN TO NOW
HEY JOE, I SAID
WHERE YOU GONNA RUN TO NOW WHERE YOU GONNA GO
I'M GOIN' WAY DOWN SOUTH
WAY DOWN TO MEXICO WAY, ALRIGHT
I'M GOIN' WAY DOWN SOUTH
WAY DOWN WHERE I CAN BE FREE
AIN'T NO ONE GONNA FIND ME
AIN'T NO HANG-MAN GONNA
HE AIN'T GONNA PUT A ROPE AROUND ME
YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT RIGHT NOW
I GOTTA GO NOW
HEY, JOE
YOU BETTER RUN ON DOWN
GOODBYE EVERYBODY
HEY HEY JOE

3. With Democracy lovers like LIEberman, who needs them?
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 02:30 AM by countmyvote4real
I think that was your point and a poetic way to express it. Thanks for that.

4. Lieber...who???
Oh...you mean the candidate from the Incumbant Party. The man who lost the Dem primary vote and needed only about 6000 votes to get on the ballot. That Joe LieBerman.

7. How strange..
.. because I didn't think anyone here -was- advocating for Lieberman.

Or else they got drowned out by all the ones who saw him for what he was and still do.

I wonder what Schlesinger the R is like. He might win because of what ugly loser Joe
will be doing. Is Schlesinger decent?

9. The only thing that is sure about this election is that...
Schlesinger doesn't have a chance in hell of winning, this is assuming he actually can get himself out of a casino to campaign in the first place. Decent my ass!

16. Ha! Yeah, I can see it now. The MSM will frame Lieberman ...
... an 18 year veteran of the Senate ... as the outsider and underdog. Almost funny.

Only a couple of posters on this board, not necessarily you, at least some DLCers are principled.

20. I'm referring to specific members I cannot name who
admonished us that we needed to hold our nose and vote for Joe if he won the primary, which was a strawman argument because no one said they wouldn't. I just find those particular member's absence in the discussion interesting.
I'm not allowed to call out specific members. I apologize if that restriction makes my statements seem overbroad.

21. Its always OK to support your candidate in a primary...
as you did. Just glad you a principled enough to support the winner in the general, some here probably aren't as principled as you, unfortunately. I usually stay out of primary fights in general, during the Presidential primaries back in 2004, I refused to tell people who I supported. The most I usually did was slam people for saying stupid shit occasionally.

Actually, I do that quite a bit, generally I try to only criticize politicians based on something they say or do. For example, I slammed Dean for going on the 700 club, which I view as dumb, at the same time, I slammed Hillary for saying kids today don't work as hard as they did in the past(Same complaint Socrates made in his day), and I criticized Lieberman for his war stance and some first amendment stances he has made in the past and now.

24. Ha! I was sick of hearing all their self-righteous nonsense about the
"people of CT". I don't give a damn what Republicans and independents want in CT. I care that we get a true Democratic Senator. I am not interested for a moment in compromising with the Republican Party.

Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 10:55 AM by calipendence
Now that Sore Loserman is no longer a Democrat...

Hopefully in 2006, we'll only have one and that will be a new more progressive one that even many Dems are now.
