I am so disgusted with the people on this particular forum I'm ready to leave. This place is an artist type forum and someone posted yesterday about illegal wiretaps and catching terrorists. This is an example of the many replies:

I also agree and go one step further..... I want our government and the governments of our allies to do whatever is necessary to prevent any future attack on our country and the lives of innocents. Screw the terrorists and their rights, screw taking the time to get a warrant when the time it might take would jeopardize an operation that would save 100's or 1,000's of lives.
Wiretap away, torture, I'm not against it if it's necessary to get information.

I'm glad were sitting here today posting our opinions about this subject instead of what the posts might have been had the powers that be not done what was necessary yesterday to uncover a plot that would have changed history forever.

why oh why people think they're so damn unique simply because of the geographic location they were born in is beyond me. It most be a defense mechanism which allows them to believe they are secure as long as the dogs are chasing someone else....and every time they make these illogical statements it reinforces they're idea of security.

Yes, this was a DIFFERENT forum I was referring too. And the comments have only gone downhill. A few hardy and sensible souls are trying to educate these lunkheads but it's a hopeless task.
