Why Continue Playing the Game? |
|
Edited on Sun Aug-13-06 10:14 AM by primative1
The last few days as I keep hearing the diverse opinions on Iraq I have started to wonder. Why do we continue to play this game on the GOPers terms. Why do we refer to this thing as "The Iraq War? Under what military definition does this thing qualify as a war? Lets call it what it is, "The Iraq Occupation".

3. I hate the term "Iraq War" |

I try to use "Iraq Occupation" instead whenever I have the presence of mind in the face of the wave of rhetoric that keeps referring to this as a war. When Hitler invaded Poland, was it called the Polish War? Even our so-called president said early on that this was an occupation and he understood that folks wouldn't want to be occupied.
