Let's keep a tally of the Lieberman endorsements
Last week, I wrote a post decrying the fact that many right-
leaning (e.g., DLC) Democrats would not "hold their noses
and vote for Ned Lamont", the winner of the Connecticut
Democratic Primary election's race, even though right-
leaning Democrats constantly demand the same of left-
leaning Democrats when the right-winger wins the primary

For my trouble, I was told I was "full of bullshit" (and yes,
in exactly those words).

Well, the endorsements are now rolling in, and it seems that
a rather large proportion of right-leaning (e.g., DLC) Demo-
crats are holding true to the course I predicted and endorsing
Lieberman, the NON-DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE in the CT
Senate race.

Let's tally them up (Democrats only; we know there are lots of
Republican endorsements):

o The CT Speaker of the House
o Bob Kerrey, former Nebraska Governbor and U.S. Senator
o Al From (Primary founder and current CEO of the DLC)
o Ken Salazar, U.S. Senator from Colorado
* Mark Pryor, U.S. Seanator from Arkansas and a vice-chair of the DSCC
* (Who's the third U.S. Senator; Ben Nelson, right?)

Who else?

Tesha

2. "rolling in"?
That's a fairly puny list, given the fact that Loserman is a long-time Democrat with many strong links. Yes. I know he's a traitor now, and that fat is recognized by most Democrats.

The list of strong LaMont endorsements is far longer and much more imprssive.

4. Dontcha hate being right, sometimes?
I am a left leaning Dem who encourages other lefties to vote for RW dems, in the general election. Gotta keep the 'D' in the seat, even if we don't like him - don't vote for a Green who will lose, and hand the seat to a repug. But in the primary, I always go for the most left Dem.

Endorse whoever you want, in the primary. But when a dem is decided on, you gotta support the dem. Regardless.

We need to let these guys know that they will have primary challangers in THEIR next elections.

After all, he'd be banned from DU today if he spoke his mind about Joe Lieberman.

11. All traitors to the Democratic
Party. I can't even imagine what goes on in that brain of mary landrieu's..What part of Democratic primary loser doesn't she understand?

I hope they have to be held accountable down the road for ignoring the Democractic primary in Connecticut and going with the loserman.

12. He picked up Susan Collins' endorsement today
She's a moderate Republican senator from Maine. Lieberman also has Chris Shays' endorsement, and may pick up endorsements from the other two Republican house members from Connecticut before this is all over.

Frankly, these endorsements will probably help more in terms of votes than endorsements from out-of-state Democrats.

13. Every single sio called "Democrat" on this list
Needs to be targeted.

And if the Dems are too cowardly to do it- to put their own house in order- then the Greens need to do it.

The party is MUCH better off without these types. They're precisely why Democrats have become irrelevenat- read IRRELEVANT in national policy making.

I wish it were.

Unfortunately, many if not most of their votes tell me that they're well beyond feeling shame.

They've shown little allegiance to the Party- they disrespect its traditional principles- and ignore the welfare of their constituents.

We're not talking about people with integrity here.

People need to see who and what they are- just as people need to see- CLEAR and BRIGHT what the Republicans are and what they "stand for." What their positions on the isssues are.

If that happened- and the party actually stood up for its traditional values- the Dems would have a wide majority in both houses for many years to come.

15. Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and Sean Hannity
all think he's the bee's knees, and have said so. Karl Rove likes Joe a lot, and I hear George Bush likes him lots.

Joe needs to GO... with friends like this, who needs him in this Party, anyway?

26. From what little I can gather about Schlesinger,
he's not as gung-ho about Iraq as Holy Joe.

Plus, he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell. With Lamont getting the bulk of the liberal vote, Lamont and Lieberman carving up the moderate vote, and Lieberman getting a decent share of the conservative vote, Schlesinger hasn't got many votes. Last I saw, he was polling somewhere near 6%.

19. when are we going to make the obvious observation?
that the republicans, the neocons, and the DLC endorse Lieberman, and that speaks volumes about the common goals of all three groups?

when are we going to come out and admit that?

Anyone who can't tell the difference between the DLC, the Republicans, and the neocons is wearing ideological blinders.
