HELLO FASCISM. We're not going to get along. |
|
As the world's fears about Bush continue to be proven right, month after month, I cannot look at the news of the tortures we've found out about, the illegal spying, the illegal occupation of Iraq, the illegal outing of a CIA officer, the illegal act of the chosen president not doing his sworn duty during Katrina of saving his citizens, and the complete sell out to the corporations under his watch and ignoring the environment in the process ---- (whew) ---- as ANYTHING but fascism coming to power in our country.
Our Congress continues to ignore it's obligation to keep him in check, or pushing an agenda for the people as they should, at their own peril. For not only has a major network (ABC) slipped into Christofascist Republican party hands, but many mainstream newspapers and radio stations have been there for years, and now there's word that the House has approved a bill that allows little kids to be stripped by school officials for any cause they deem necessary.
Hello, 1984. Hello, brutal treatment from the government.
And finally...
Hello Fascism. We're not going to get along. I just know it. I'll die fighting you, but I will fight you, you can bank on that.

Where is the opposition party? Who are they speaking for? Certainly not for me.

I was thinking that today. I haven't thought that in a while. What gives? Are they just being censored in the media and all the coverage given to the Repukes and *ush? I do believe part of it is they are being too complacent with thinking the same thing they did when Kerry looked likely to win about a month before the election after the last debate, and thinking the vast disapproval of Congress will guarantee them a gain in Senate seats and a takeover of the House.
I hope I'm wrong, but damn, you spoke my feelings from today.

7. I think it's worse than we have been thinking....much worse, |
|
so,...hooboy, we have some work to do. No one has ever said this was going to be easy. And, as I have said before, I'm in this for the long view...the quite long view. The weeny, whiny people can exit the bus. NOW....please. I will only ask this one time.

9. I truly foresee an impasse coming soon on all this |
|
I had a vision a couple years ago about impending disaster in FL in AUG., when I was asleep in Feb of that year. Well, in Aug. 3 hurricanes hit FL and I went before them to help my family and specifically to help my brother who I felt would need me. Less than a month later he suffered an odd temporary stroke/paralysis on one side and suffers motor skill problems with walking and much pain to this day.
And I'm having raised feelings of impending actions of some sorts involving all the bizarre crap that's been going on for over 5 years now.

10. Impasse? I hope this is so. |

I just feel an implacable force is trying to bear down on us. But I am just a quite regular mom person, in all honesty, just a mom, however...I tend to do what needs to be done. I just hate it when that gets scary.
Blessed be, sweetheart. Thank you.

11. wow.. well thank you for that |
|
 to you too. and you're awesome since you're a mom. that's a hard job.
a lot of america just focuses, rightly so, on doing what needs done in their life. If we let this crap control us that bush is pandering on TV all the time, we'd really go nuts.
the blessing is much appreciated.
I will actively give of my time this final few weeks of the election cycle to try and help. I cannot bare to stand another 2 years of complete control of the republicans, they so don't care!

I don't have any tools! I just have my bible and my fists. Do I need something with a large holster? lol...
seriously, what should I get to protect myself from attacks. I don't like guns, but I think if the time comes to protect myself, as I truly feel this country is falling HARD (or I wouldn't have written the post).

5. We have no choice but to fight |
|
Nobody else has stepped forward to do it. Our Democratic leaders have backed down from stolen elections, and from other actions that they were responsible for. I don't know if they hold back due to fear, or what, but when some do step forward, we celebrate that because it's the only thing we have to celebrate. It's not an everyday occurrence for us.
In 1943, when I was born, we were fighting a fascist government, and felt that the fate of civilization depended on the war's outcome. Until 2000, when another fascist coup took place, I have lived as a free woman, in a free country.
That freedom is being choked out of America's life by the Bush regime, and he takes more and more power to himself every day. I was born during a time of war, and would prefer to die as a free American. That means doing everything in my power to see that the elections are fair, and that every vote is correctly counted. This issue is so important to me, that having to live under a fascist regime like Dubya's is no life at all.
Together, we can fight them, and together, we can win. We need to stick together, and make known to the people running for office in November that our votes will depend on how strong they are willing to be in this battle. Like you, I know that Fascism and I will not get along. We are sworn enemies. I'm proud to share this fight with you. The future of our country depends on it.
