The latest Fred Barnes' prophecy right here (and I like it!): |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-30-06 09:07 AM by ktowntennesseedem
Just now flipping through the TV channels, batteries in the remote are due for a changeout, and the channel got stuck on Faux Snooze just long enough for me to hear this little gem from freeper icon Fred Barnes. They were discussing the tightening race in Virginia when Fred concluded:
"If Republicans lose Virginia, the Democrats are going to win the Senate." :woohoo:
I do hope he's right (can't believe I'm agreeing with that idiot!), but regardless it is going to get ugly in the Old Dominion. If anyone besides Fred sees Virginia as the make or break state, the GOP spin machine is about to kick into overdrive. Hang on, everyone, its going to be a bumpy ride, but as long as Fred's prediction comes true it will be well worth the trip!

for either Macaca Boy or Webb in my very Blue part of the state. (Allens backyard) It's a very liberal college town that always votes Dem. Allen will win the "Southside" and Webb should take the better educated Northern VA. The real battleground seems to be the Tidewater area with a heavy military (Navy) presence. A former Sec. of the Navy should trump a racist frat brat like Felix. With all the anti incumbant feelings in the country as a whole, there has never been a better chance to get rid of Macaca Man.

and he is an Idiot. I'll never forget him saying that Global Warming could possibly be a good thing because it would create more arable land by melting permafrost.

I'll stick to more rational approaches to politics - tea leaves, tarot cards and throwing bones come to mind.
