Deja Vu All Over Again - Lex Gabinia, Lex Manilia, Enabling Act
The old saying - those who don't read history are doomed to repeat it. But this "deja vu all over again" is getting frighteningly worrisome--
Lex Gabinia
Lex Manilia
Enabling Act

Have we irreversibly started dismantling the experiment of the American Republic?

1. Is the last Gracchus an 88 year old man with trembling hands and two canes
?

2. Wasn't Gracchus
killed on the floor of the Senate for his "Agrarian Reforms." I had always blindly assumed he was a relatively young man at that time.

3. There were 2 Gracchi brothers. Both supported the plebes over the
Senate traditional patrician latifundia. They were sort of proto-Jeffersonian small holder virtue-riddled populists. Their mother was Cornelia. Their idea spread out thru the late Republic, and C. Julius Caesar was their intellectual heir, in theory.
