FAUX has been saying Foley is going to "backfire" on Dems..
Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 04:30 PM by liberaliraqvet26
i confess i've been watching a lot of FOX this weekend. I've been wanting to see how they are gonna spin their way out of this one. It seems that their talking point is that the Dems bringing up the subject and demanding an investigation is going to somehow backfire on them.

They are insisting the emails that Hastert/Reynolds saw were "innocent" and he had no way of knowing Foley was a predator.

They are bringing up Mckinney and the cop, William Jefferson and his freezercash, and the situations from the 1980's.

I almost cannot believe what I am hearing.

2. Knuckleheads. Foley did this by/to himself, with no help from Dems.
I don't see how it could be spun otherwise despite their best efforts.

3. So, ask them who SHOULD be bringing up a pedophile in Congress?
Who SHOULD be investigating a Congressman who comes on to teenage boys?

WHY IS FOX SOFT ON CHILD MOLESTING?

4. Foley needs psychiatric attention.
But there's no excuse for the coverup by Boehner, Hastert, and we don't know who else participated in the coverup.

Pox News can shove their spin right up their lying little *cough*

5. Remember the Bush drunk driving arrest story that came out in 2000?
This coverup was discovered by an eccentric free lance journalist in Maine about 4 days before the election. What did Fox do? They spent all of their time investigating the guy who legally obtained the information, rather than the fact that a major party presidential candidate covered up his criminal record from the American people.

6. Yeah - a D is going to have to do the hard work of representing
Foley's district. Other than that "backfire," Faux is just spitting into the wind...

leadership refused to investigate months ago.

13. I really fail to see how Cynthia McKinney, a soon-to-be former Rep,
and William Jefferson will somehow balance a stinking, hypocritical pederast.

14. Even among their otherwise "lobotomized" audience...
I don't see the parents buying the defense of sexual predation among the Repug leadership...

Of course, they are merely waiting for their "Xian" gurus to bless it all-- I suppose if Dobson comes out and somehow explains it all away, the Pugs will be free sailing once again...:eyes:

16. I cannot think of any story worse than a pervert Congressman
stalking a page. Faux can spin all they want; this incident hits most voters close to home. What parent wouldn't think about their own child in such a situation?

23. Murdoch is in it for his own profit
When the worm turns, Murdoch turns with it. One day Faux News might not be on the White House payroll any longer. If Murdoch can make more money without them, he will.

24. Right you are. Faux News is just a cover for the porn shows they also
broadcast. That's why the Pukes got SO flipped out that Murdoch was giving some Dems contributions. Even they know that they are perceived as put out for Rupie or get shut out pawns.

I've set my remote to skip over the faux news network.

Since I dont watch, I would have guessed that either they are in complete denial or a full blown panic.

From your description, sounds like the latter.

25. Same here
Channel 21 doesn't exist unless I intentionally go there by clicking the specific numerals. I've gone months and months without doing that but lately it's been once every couple weeks for a quick laugh.
