Anyone hearing anything about an October suprise?
A complete Kool-Aid drinker on a debate board I frequent said he heard KKKarl was planning one. I guess they could raise the threat level like they did in 2004 or maybe they even have OBL this time. Who knows. Anyone heard anything?

2. WE are the surprise.
We are the distraction. Maybe what we should be asking is what kind of October surprise Dr. Dean has prepared.

3. Whatever it is.
It'll have to be really BIG to outstink this sex scandal and all the other shit in the soup.
I have to hope that the public is tired of the manipulation. I sure am.

4. I would be more concerned about their November surprises
Seems to me a lot of crap comes out about the repukes and corruption right after the elections. It's what they are hiding that scares me.

5. Rove apparently promised one at a fundraiser last week....
But methinks the surprise is on them at the moment. GOP family values is revealed to be the height of Foley.

Here's to taking the House and restoring Congressional oversight!

6. It has to be a "whopper" to divert attention from Foley and Woodward.
Gasoline price drop and stock market record high is my guess as to what is planned. For the life of me I can't understand why the Democrats aren't saying that if the Republicans want to take credit for the gasoline price drop then they also have to admit responsibility for the price increases upon which the corporate oil companies made record profits while still receiving tax breaks. The "powers" meaning those who control banking, media, military, and government have perfect control over all of our lives and what happened to energy prices over the last 6 years proves it. The only thing they really can't control are hurricanes!

12. Nuking Iran would be a whopper
and given the huge naval deployment to the Persian Gulf I saw mentioned on another DU post, I am very much afraid that is KKKarl's game plan.

7. Worrying about
an October Surprise distracts everyone from paying attention to what is really going on: corruption, passing laws which make us an outlaw nation, the crumbling economy, lack of health care, and so on and so forth. Every step of the way we should be pointing out what a terrible job Republicans have done in recent years, and how many of them are thoroughly corrupt. The October Surprise ought to be how Democrats come back fighting, challenging every Republican assumption, every Republican criminal. Instead, we have people constantly asking, "Is this it?" "Will they do that?" And meanwhile Republicans are laughing their asses off watching Democrats run around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off.

8. I don't know.
You may want to take a moment to read some of the surprisingly harsh and utterly effective responses our Dem Leaders have made regarding the Foley Scandal. Doesn't sound like they're running around with their heads cut off to me. In fact, it sounds like they're surprisingly on-message and making hay while the sun shines!

9. 2 Aircraft Carriers in the Persian Gulf

An attack on an American ship (faked, and blamed on Iran)

I'm just so cynical these days, I wouldn't put anything past them.

10. I heard an October 27th nuke Iran date briefly on the radio and I thought
it came from former CIA guy Ray McGovern, but I just caught it briefly so can't be sure. It was on local Air America San Diego radio.

11. That's my birthday, that would suck big time.
Let's hope nothing bad happens that day.
