No Warrants Issued For Foley????? |
|
Is anyone keeping any eye on Mark Foley's residences? Has all evidence been destroyed yet? The FBI has no problem getting one and raiding William Jefferson's Congressional offices, but no action has been taken on getting one for the Foley case?

Remember, there are two justice systems:
One for the rich and the repukes.
One for everyone else.

It's fine. According to Foley's lawyer, he promised not to delete anything |

2. Well that's a no brainer |

WJ is a Democrat and Foley is not. Besides the poor man was a victim himself and by a clergyman, no less it would be heartless to punish a victim:sarcasm:

as the Freepers like to say, "no one is above the law". Its clear that Foley may have broken a few. He can have his day in court.

5. It took a while for Jefferson's warrants to be issued. |
|
The House had been asked for the information, and balked. They also refused to honor subpoenas. The warrants was step #3, and arguments had to be made in court and the search process carefully crafted to meet with the judge's acceptance. It was a last recourse. I'm not sure this counts as "no problem." By that token, I've had 'no problem' with my dissertation :-)
Foley's not allowed in his office; the locks have been changed; and the staffers have been told to not delete or alter anything.
The media have been reporting things, frequently with rather iffy connections between the facts and the inferences. That's not really evidence in a court of law. The prosecutor/investigator has to actually get the documents, show they were illegal or pointed to illegal acts, and show that they were sent to underage kids. And when touching upon another separation of powers issue, the judges aren't going to go on weak evidence; every i and t will need to be dotted and crossed.
