Santorum Struggles for Voter Approval
By KIMBERLY HEFLING , 10.05.2006, 02:18 AM

Rick Santorum has spent 12 years in the Senate - and millions of dollars
on TV ads for a third term. Yet a lot of Pennsylvania voters just plain
don't like him.

Polls show Santorum's approval rating is in the 30s, just about what it
was a year ago. Roughly the same number of voters view him unfavorably
as favorably.

Questions over the use of Pennsylvania tax dollars to pay for the cyber
schooling of his six children in Virginia continue to dog him. Anger lingers
over comments he made in a book last year criticizing some working
parents, as well as statements he made in opposition to same-sex marriage
and in support of keeping Terri Schiavo alive.

"Santorum's real problem is Santorum," said Clay Richards, a Quinnipiac
University pollster.

1. He's the poster boy for the religious right's stranglehold on the
government. If he goes down he will take a whole hoard (WHOREd?) of like- minded fundie nuts with him. The US Capitol will smell a lot cleaner with them gone.

2. Shocking.........
what's not to like? :eyes: Ricky is like the kid in high-school that was always trying to suck up to the teachers and administrators; tattling on everyone, betraying his peers to gain favor with teachers, who, behind his back, couldn't stand him either. A snide little prick who just KNEW he was better than everyone else, emitting an air of condescension so think you could cut it with a knife.

No one likes little Ricky.   Try acting like a human being for once you pretentious little weasel. I have no, none, ZERO sympathy for little Ricky. I hope the voters of Pennsylvania send him packing.

3. Santorum comes off as such a whiner (given that he IS)...

I've always maintained all that would be required is a poster campaign with the no whining sign....

Followed by "Vote out Santorum"... Even among his "supporters," I think it resonates....
