This most recent scandal means little or nothing.

Complacency is a disease that Republican strategists intend to infect their adversaries with, hoping we will slack off in our attempts to preserve the Constitution and way of life.

In nature, predators rarely attack live-stock or people when they are healthy. It's after they become injured that problems surface.

The Republican beast is severely wounded, not dead.

Make no mistake, this race is just beginning.

The beast is more dangerous than ever and has fangs and claws that it is preparing to use.

It has no character or morals but the animal still has power; plenty of power.

Don't count your chickens before the fox rampages through the hen-house.

It's too soon to worry about impeachment or bringing these criminals to justice.

Work harder and give more than you ever have before, or it will be not only our life but also the whole system of justice that is impeached.

i think DU'ers are too subject to the whims of the survival instinct. relying on human nature, the gopig has expected wiser heads to take over from the grads of the joe macarthy school of seamanship before disaster struck, but why? the passengers love the seasickness, and throwing their babies overboard to lighten the load after all that water poured into the hold! 4. I feel people are thinking to good for what will happen.

I am still not at all sure that Dem. will retake Congress. I see the people as a slow moving thing. This movement of the GOP was starting way back. I sort of laughed at all these religious nuts that said they would first take over the school boards and change the books, well look at that. This has been building for 30 years and it will not go away that fast any more than what FDR put in will go away over night. It all slowly builds up and comes down the same way. Think back to Vietnam and it will give you some thoughts on that. The thoughts that private business does every thing cheaper and better than govt. does is firmly into many peoples mind. Just as Unions are bad even if they work under the very laws Unions fought and died for. Fallacies are with us always.

This is routinely noted as fact but is not true. Predators, especially those who hunt in packs, do frequently attack the healthy. It is the animal that is unlucky enough to stands out from the herd that gets attacked. True sometimes it is an injured or sick animal but sometimes it is a healthy young animal. You can clearly see it on those nature shows. The pack circles the herd and gets it agitated. Then the pack will focus on the one animal that stands out. It is not merely the sick and injured that are targeted by pack predators, sometimes it is merely the unlucky.

In the case of the GOP, it's an injured and sick beast. Poor thing's in a lot of pain right now, but it's still a danger to the public. I think we all know what's for the best.

you did make a valid point, though.

As you accurately point out, there are no hard and fast rules in nature. Certainly, even healthy adult animals are constantly at risk from predatory attack, especially when the prey animal becomes complacent or over-confident.
