1. Wow- lots of posts there. |

I doubt he can get to the end of the questions in one hour. (that's so cool that so many people want to be part of the blog event!)

All I see is people's questions for him.

5. It's great that he's blogging. I asked him a question about Iran |
|
I hope he gets around to answering it because I worry that not enough Democratic leaders are talking about how the United States should handle the situation there.
I was glad to read what John Edwards has written so far about the situation in Uganda and Darfur. That is clearly something not enough Democratic leaders are talking about and I am grateful that he is.

8. I'm not blaming him for that Catchawave. Can't touch every base |

I do wish he had used that opportunity to explain his position on Iran more fully though, it has been the subject of some speculation and it sure as hell is an important issue. He favors direct negotiations, I did see him mention that in the context of another question, and that is good. Let's say that covers the "Speak softly" part of Teddy's phrase "Speak softly and carry a big stick." I wonder what Edwards thinks about the "stick" part though, and if when and how he thinks the United States should use it.
I'll be up front with you, my concern in that regard comes form Edwards having a fairly close association with the fervent Pro Israel lobby, and some things he said when he visited Israel this year. That can certainly be explained, I am by no means anti-Israel and Israel has legitimate security concerns to worry about. At this point I will give John Edwards the benefit of the doubt on this issue, but I would love to have any doubts cleared up further. I went out of my way to frame my question in an open handed non provocative way. I just want to hear Edwards (and not just Edwards) discuss this issue more, it really IS important to me.
