That poll on goerie was already down when I checked. I'd hope Erieites agreed that 12 years of a Republican Congress is enough and that English is set to go DOWN!

There doesn't seem to be any Rasmussen, et. al. polling on this particular race.

3. Hopefully he gets nailed

in the page scandal. He is disgusting, a human carp. Had a web page up against CAFTA, then voted for it. I checked the site and the page was gone.

He's a cretin. I believe he is one of the most foreign traveling reps. in the House. Lazy too.

I have emailed Porter several times to offer yard space for signs, but it always comes back as box full. He seems a decent guy. Hell, Bud Dwyer was a decent guy compared to English.

5. Corry, redneck central.

Kids here are joining the military at an alarming rate due to the lack of any decent full-time jobs. My daughter is 27 and almost every guy she knows is NG or Army. Of course many of them are freeps, so they should sign up! But it is a pitiful situation when kids have to go die/kill because they can't find work. The poor man's draft is alive and well in this area.

Corry is a dead town and almost a police state here. 14 cops for this small town!! Ride double/drunk on a bicycle, get busted, stand too long in one place, get busted, not wealthy and do anything minor wrong, get busted. I'm only here for my family and when Mom's gone I am so outta' here! Road blocks almost every weekend at night. Luckily we have had a very liberal DJ for years. She gave $kujiuijkui8jy7u50 fines for pot.

I lived in Cerritos in the early 80's. I liked northern CA best, in LA I tried to go for a walk and ran out of sidewalk at a 6/8-lane hwy!

Do you miss snow and the change of seasons? It's snowing for the first time right now. Buffalo was hit bad Friday.

6. Spring Creek

is where my Dad's first cousin still lives in what used to be the family's hunting camp-- a two story shack with asbestos shingles all over it and propane lighting! No running water! And the guy's in his 80's! We visited a couple of years ago and a bunch of his buddies showed up on ATV's with a case of beer. It was fun. So beautiful there.

Some preacher is buying up all the available land around Spring Creek and is creating some sort of Waco-land compound. Weird. Perhaps you know of the guy. Hopefully the camp doesn't get sold to the creep.

A highschool classmate of my Dad's owned a plastics company in Corry at one time and used to say that Corry had the highest per capita of unwed mothers in the State if not the Nation. Still lots of young women with strollers there? I blame it on the Corry Drive-In!

Who's behind the Police State there or is it just too many cops with too much time on their hands? Let's hope the local DJ continues to provide a dose of sanity to the area.

It's beautiful there and I miss it. The snow-- not so much-- though we try to get back there for the Holidays and love to crunch around in the snow filled streets late at night. So quiet.

Here we live near the intersection of Washington Bl and Lincoln Bl, close to a Costco and an In N Out Burger, so I'm in a little bit of Consumer Heaven here. We got gentrified out of our place in Venice last year but we're just a short bike ride away from the Boardwalk.

I still dream of living half the year here and half the year in Erie County. It'll always be home-- lots of family.

The Howie Klein you googled is the indeed the Record Exec, proprietor of Down With Tyranny and Guest Blogger on FireDogLake. He helped make the "Had Enough?" ads happen. He's also one of the only prominent bloggers to focus on Jabba the Carp (haha--love it!) I don't understand why the DSCC has seemingly abandoned Porter. It would seem to be an easy seat to pick up for the Dems, though I guess PA is still Philly and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between. :)

My Dad's cousin has a revolver hanging on a nail on the wall of his shack but I think he still votes straight Democratic.
