There are "Voices" Countering the "Shadow Government Bushes"
Edited on Thu Oct-12-06 06:25 PM by KoKo01
I see their presence on the MSM..and in the Print Media and Out There. I see the difference all our organizations are making like "Center for American Progress," CREW, NRDC, ACLU, Greenpeace...and a host of others that we Dems here have tossed our coins to since "Selection 2000." (there are so many groups...I didn't want to fill the page) and ....PLUS..we have our STRONG INTERNET VOICES which have grown so numerous and vocal that we are a POWER we weren't even for the 2004 Election (another selection because of Voter Disenfranchisement).

Yet, something is lacking as I watch the MSM still give 2/3'rds time to Repug POV, Christian Fundie POV, Corporate POV......and I think that there's SO MUCH MORE TO GO to UNDO what the Repugs have done.

I guess we "hold our nose" in some cases and VOTE once again DEMOCRATIC....but isn't this the LAST STRAW? If we don't manage to do more than pick up a few votes Majority in the House and maybe a few in the Senate.....then What Happens AFTER?

Looking for what will sustain Dems on the Left after 2006....in case we don't make more than a one or five vote Majority in the House or Senate?

I hope we do a LANDSLIDE...and overide the Corrupt DRE Voting MACHINE FRAUD...

BUT....what if we don't? What's the Next Step?

2. I Said This Before... So I'm Not Making Fun Here... If We Lose
again, my strong beliefs about voter Fraud from past elections will become resolute and I don't think I can hang around for more abuse!

I've already contacted at least one person who knows a very good realtor in Costa Rica! It may take a little time to sell our home and some acreage we own, but I think that's what I want to do. The 5 acres is up for sale right now but the home isn't. And we will have to wait until my mother-in-law passes and we sell her place before we can run away. She's 94 and has severe Alzheimer's, but has been living with us for over 7 years and we can't just put her into a Nursing Home. She takes no medication and is in good health other than the obvious brain damage.

But those are my plans because as a "Boomer" I want to do a "little" living before my time is up. I have noticed an increased interest in Costa Rica this past year and did talk to someone who just came back to this country after living there for 16 years. Said it was a lot cheaper to live there, BUT not as cheap as it once was. My only fear about going there is that too many others are thinking the same way I am. I imagine it will take some time before it becomes a "little America" so I think we may have some good years before it gets run over.

But you never know. What I do know is that this country here has changed drastically in just 6 short years and to think I'd have to live with "more of the same" might just drive me over the edge! Since we currently live in Florida and my kids also live here, it's not too far away to come back for family reunions!

Anyway, that's my plan and one I've given some very serious thought.

3. Shadow govenment.
There is a shadow government and the only way that the Republicans can hold on to the House and/or Senate is by stealing the election...again.

Will the American people sit by once again as an election is stolen?

Will the Republicans be too nervous for fear of attempting to rig the election and still lose that they will restrain themselves in November?

I don't know the answer.

I know they had planned to steal Florida long before the November 2000 election and that they had shifted that to Ohio long before 2004.

With the public awareness of Diebold and ballot machines not available in minority districts and phone jamming and such, will the Republicans fear criminal prosecutions this time?

Every poll now shows Democrats surging across the country and winning nearly every demographic group. How can the results of an election that might fly in the face of the national sentiment be swallowed? I don't know.

We must all work to help get out the vote in our neighborhoods and congressional districts.
