How about spending that money on vet health care and getting
bin Laden?

Laughing as Iraq crumbles and N. Korea gets A bombs.

Bunch of murdering crooks.

11. Just for the record
the USAF Memorial was privately funded. The gov't gave the land.

Why is everyone surprised about Smirky laughing during the dedication? He laughed his way through his military career{sic}.

13. Thanx for the update
So who are the private funding forces?

Boeing
Lockheed
G. & E.

Also so how many acres of land did the Govt. give? And what is that land worth
per acre?

I still saw it as a big time "feel good" campaign rally.

18. Among others, yes. I kicked in a few bucks
I'm not sure on the acreage, two or three. I'd say any land in and around Arlington National is literally priceless.

That Smirky and crew used the dedication as a campaign opportunity and photo op - no argument. Anyone who still believes they give a rat's ass about the individuals in the armed forces past and present has drunk the Kool-Aid.

23. Because spending money on vets COSTS money and getting 'OBL', or
a fascimile thereof, would stop the war games they profit from.

They don't want to STOP terrorism. They PROMOTE terrorism.

It's how they make money. Why don't people understand this?

8. Time was when the U.S. news media would have crucified any politician
LAUGHING at Arlington Cemetary as U.S. soldiers were dying in a war, or even in peacetime--let alone the warmakers THEMSELVES laughing.

There is no better evidence of the complicity of our war profiteering corporate news monopolies, in keeping this Junta in power and providing cover from them and their heinous war, than their failure to splash this laugh all over their news pages and news shows. It is representative of the attitude of these war criminals toward our own soldiers: that they are cannon fodder, and of no consequence to those who have put them in the way of death. These criminals have no conscience. That has been clear for some time. But, in addition, they have no decorum. They do not even feel obliged to PRETEND--for the sake of the bereaved or in deference to public opinion. Their callousness is not nearly as shocking as their open and indisguised contempt for the American people.

But then, they know they can get away with it. And maybe it's even part of the plan. I've sometimes thought this about the rightwing cabal that installed Bush, that it was their intention to insult and demean us, and spit upon our highest democratic ideals, by shoving this inarticulate, stupid sociopath in our faces, and pulling his strings behind the curtain.
