The Republicans are rapidly reaching the point of complete implosion. |
|
At least, that's my read on it from what I've seen over the last few days to a week. The ridiculously dirty ads in NY, NJ, OH, TN, others; the sudden disintegration of the previously at least semi-cohesive White House message machine; the increasing derangement displayed by Rumsfeld, Rove, Bush, Snow, and their gang. And in district after district, events are swinging in favor of the Democrats.
With all the negative ads, the fraud, and the spin, it's still going to be an uphill battle. But I think that we're seeing what can only be described as a level of desperation and wholesale panic in the Republican party unmatched in recent history. They're teetering on the brink of self-immolation, and they know it.

1. We're now at the part of "The Wizard of Oz" when Toto opens the curtain. |

Scandal after scandal. Daily doses of their hypocrisy being exposed. Outrageous, inhumane attacks against Democrats. Poll numbers so much lower than those of Democrats; I don't see how they could explain themselves if they will have miraculously been able to hold on to a majority in either house.

Animals and lunatics are dangerous in this situation.
Their making it easy to declare martial law, legitimizing torture, the DINO complicity, and their certainty of a win; all make me think they plan to steal power by any means necessary and take Draconian measures if we dare stand up. I'd like to be one of the positive. I used to be positive, before 2004's Ohio vote.
I hope I'm wrong and they do self-:nuke:

5. I think the forces of nature are at work and homeostasis is kicking in finally |
|
From Wikipedia:
Homeostasis is the property of an open system, especially living organisms, to regulate its internal environment to maintain a stable, constant condition, by means of multiple dynamic equilibrium adjustments, controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms.
From Biologymad:
All homeostatic mechanisms use negative feedback to maintain a constant value (called the set point). Negative feedback means that whenever a change occurs in a system, the change automatically causes a corrective mechanism to start, which reverses the original change and brings the system back to normal. It also means that the bigger then change the bigger the corrective mechanism
