The Republicans really need to win this time. |
|

With all the scandals and incompetence it's becoming more obvious to the average person that they have made a mess of things. The Republicans have been discredited for a couple of years to come. But public memory being what it is, it will all be forgotten in a few years and they will march back into power again, riding on the same campaign of fear and hate.
But, if we give them a couple more years in control they will foul things up so completely, and make their incompetence so blatantly obvious to everyone that they will be discredited not just for the next few years, but for generations to come. They need to win this time around. They need a few more years to braid the rope that will hang them. They need to be allowed to let their form of insanity run its inevitable course so the political soul of the nation can be cleansed of it once and for all. If Hitler had been kicked out of office too soon we'd still be fighting the chronic recurrence of Nazism in Germany. Some infections just have to be left to come to a festering ugly head before the system can purge them effectively. Without widespread, nearly universal disgust with the fruits of a philosophy that philosophy still appears viable to many. If we don't give them enough rope to publicly, and spectacularly hang themselves now, they will keep re-asserting themselves to torment us for generations to come.

<25% the popular vote in 2008. Either we win and expose their crimes or they steal and screw things up so bad that we'll peal off another 25% of the voters.

3. I heard some GOP pundits saying on MSNBC tonight |
|
that if the GOP retains power they would have been scared badly enough to finally start being accountable.
Reminded of the repeat crook who tells the judge that he won't ever be a crook again...if just given one more chance.
Worse than that, the GOP locked out the democrats 100% in the legislative process. Only W loyalists allowed.
Most of us are sick of the tiny religious right controlling our government and leaving the rest of us out on having any say. The GOP learned only how to rubber stamp and scoffed at leaning over the aisle.

|
lifetime. what's happening in Ohio will be the norm in 30 or more states by 2008.

If they do win I think the White HOuse will definitely be ours. But we can not afford to have the GOP controlling all three branches of Government while Bush is President
