Sooo Saddams Verdict Will Be read on Nov 5th?
..and Rove thinks this is the Nov. Surprise that will clinch the Congress for the Republicans? Or is it Diebold they are convinced will win them the election?

1. I guess I don't understand
why the Saddam verdict should have any influence on the midterm elections.

2. I'm thinking at this point it that it depends on if the media SPINS the crap out of it...
I too thought initially that this is what Rove has been counting on to sway voters..

But my fello DU'ers here changed my mind on that.

I still wonder about the Gullible Gilroys out there who buy into media (((SPIN)) and think that if the media is low key (hopefully they will be) that it won't make a difference.

I think they sent Hadley over there this week to ensure that deal (the verdict) was still a go for the 5th despite the reasons the media gave for his visit.

And I seriously believe that the creep terrorist (sorry, I can't think of his name right off) that Bush agreed to release about a week ago at the request of the Iraqi President was the trade-off for this November 5th verdict.

3. Last I read it might not be, but I don't see what affect that would have
one way or the other. The way America has savaged that country is infinitely worse to what Saddam did to it, and we started this illegal bullshit war to begin with.

4. The media will try to hype it up..

... but vanishingly few people give a crap about Saddam Hussein. I think the trial has proven that he's more of a dopy crackpot than an evil all-powerful dictator.

If this is all Rove's got, we're in!

5. The only surprise possible is if Saddam is found NOT GUILTY
Not sure how that would work to Rove's advantage.

6. Too me the whole thing stinks...
It should not make one bit of difference one way or the other. Problem is going to be media coverage and ignorant, gullible voters.
