Dean in Michigan Friday for Jim Marcinkowski's campaign.
I remember this guy testifying for one of the Democrat's lonely investigative hearings, I think. He was CIA, I think.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/10/31/84012/619

"Jim Marcinkowski is going to have a visitor on Friday November 3rd. DNC Chairman Howard Dean will be paying a visit to the Michigan 8th Congressional District for a rally and fundraiser in support of Jim Marcinkowski.

Chairman Dean is following up on his pledge of leave no state behind. While some in the DC power structure have inexplicably not given Jim the attention they should to ensure a Democratic victory in this winnable race, Chairman Dean recognizes the vulnerabilty of Mike Rogers in this political season.

If you are in the Lansing area, information about both events is avaialable on the Marcinkowski for Congress website. Go to http://vote-jim.com/ for details."

And Howard Dean was campaigning in his home state today for a guy named Dunne running for Lt. Governor, a position once held by Dean.

1. Marcinkowski and Larry Johnson, ex-CIA, about serious leaks. Picture
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/10/24/cnna.leak/

"Two former CIA operatives, Larry Johnson and Jim Marcinkowski, have asked the Senate to investigate the leak and discussed the situation with CNN's Bill Hemmer."

"JOHNSON: I assume there's progress being made. I hope there's progress being made. But what I keep seeing in the newspaper is the spin and leak that this is no big deal. And that's got to stop".

"HEMMER: After listening to Larry, it sounds like, essentially the sky is falling in terms of the CIA around the world. Do you see it that way and did you get that sense in the hearing?

MARCHINKOWSKI: Yes, I did. I think the message is out there. This is an unprecedented act. This has never been done by the United States government before. The exposure of an undercover intelligence officer by the U.S. government is unprecedented. It's not the usual leak from Washington. The leak a week scenario is not at play here. This is a very, very serious event.

HEMMER: You are both registered Republicans, right? How concerned are you about the political gain that one side or the other may seek in this?"

On the left is Marcinkowski, Johnson on the right.

2. Maybe he should cancel because he is controversial...
and he might say something that doesn't please everyone and Jim might cancel.

Maybe to play it safe he should just cancel now. Then we could all go back to our various levels of fear. 3 have cancelled on Kerry already and it is just shameful.

They are afraid to stand up to the opposition. They are cowardly.

3. Yep, for sure Howard will say something wrong by Friday...
he should cancel now and not have to go through it all.

6. I found this, zidzi...
"Dean said he had visited several "red states" in the West as part of the Democratic effort to regain control in mid-term elections and that he planned to close out the campaign with stops in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Pennsylvania. He was to fly to Chicago after speaking to reporters at Vermont Democrats' headquarters in Burlington."

I saw a more detailed one somewhere, but can't find it.

8. At Michigan state on Saturday...
I found this snip..
http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5627295&nav=0Rce

"Dean plans to join Marcinkowski at a rally in Lansing on Friday night. Marcinkowski is running against Republican Rep. Mike Rogers in central Michigan's 8th District.

Earlier Friday, Dean plans to rally with volunteers in Ann Arbor. He also is scheduled to appear at a get-out-the-vote rally at Michigan State University on Saturday morning."
