Rove's surprise: OBL tapes this weekend??

You guys wanna bet that OBL surfaces this weekend with some tapes? I almost guarantee you that this is why Rove and Bush are so upbeat. Bin Laden is gonna surface before the election to scare the shit out of people and they will hope that it will turn the election their way, like in 2004.

Democrats need to jump on this and innoculate this before they even think about it. The leaders need to be proactive and warn the media that this could happen, so if it does, people won't be taken for a fool again.

They need to call this out before it happens! People on our side should be talking about this now, so it'll preempt it and innoculate it's effectiveness. I almost guarantee you that OBL will be on the tube before Tuesday. OBL needs Republicans cause they're not going after him.

Simply start talking about how it wouldn't be surprising if suddenly there were OBL tapes right before the elections. Just say it, let it hit the news. Then there's no way they could do it.

IF they try to pull that whole "democrats ought to be ashamed of themselves for saying that" shit, you simply pivot from that and bridge right back into OUR message... something like "the only people who should be ashamed are the members of this administration who misled the people into a ill conceived war, blah blah blah, and a republican congress who rubber stamped every failure, blah blah blah"

Our people should be out there saying that we shouldn't be surprised of OBL miraculously surfaced days before the election so as to get ahead of it, instead of reacting to it.

... that the current shift towards Democrats in this election is not predicated on Osama Bin Laden, his whereabouts, or anything he has to say.

I actually hope they DO come up with a last-minute announcement from the boogey-man. It'll be a great reminder to the voters that he's still out there.

While they're at it, they may as well throw in a few shots of a still-in-ruins NOLA, the hole-in-the-ground where the WTC once stood (five years after the fact), and the chaos in Baghdad. Why not broadcast ALL OF YOUR FAILURES at once a week before an election?
