Democrats: Remind the Republican base about Katrina |
|
We have won independent voters with the Iraq War. The GOP is rallying their base believing they can hold on to power by driving them to the polls like they did in 2004, so we need to remind them why their party's leadership is radical and out of touch with even their values.
Katrina.
This was near genocide. This was non-Christian. This exposed the Bush Administration for what they are.
This was not a political issue even, but a cry for humanity, which was non-existent under the shadow of Bush.
This is the other important story that must be told.

often. We're giving them a gift by not mentioning that ugly stain on this admin.

3. I think I know why it isn't discussed more... |
|
it happened to a bunch of extremely poor people of color.
If they had been white, well, let's be honest -- it never would have happened, but say a bunch of white people were left to drown and rot for a week without any governmental help, safety, and supplies, we'd STILL be talking about it.
Damned straight we should be taking about this. Why we aren't is that simple... they were the wrong color and the wrong class. Heaven help us all, I believe that's the truth.
