Hell will freeze over before I will ever vote for Hillary!
She has no integrety or class. She can't even back up and support a fellow Democrat, when his is under attack for things he did not say. She is a lousy unloyal POS. And frankly, I don't care about why she did this, just that she did. Screw her. This women does not deserve to be president.

Democrats cringed, though, at the prospect of the Massachusetts senator becoming the face of the party for the second consecutive national campaign. “No one wants to have the 2004 election replayed,” said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.

26. Just so you know.... Ford was visiting military bases in Tennessee
today with Wes Clark.

I think that probably added to his decision to make a statement.

4. To be honest, the 'pubs are desperate...
Hillary was right to tell Kerry to apologize, but IMO, ONLY to cut off the Republican shit smear. Kerry said nothing to apologize for, but a party of pedophiles, crooks, murderers and traitors badly needed a diversion, and a seemingly innocent sentence uttered by Kerry was all they had. Now that he's apologized, any further 'pub whining about this issue will be seen as just that. I have my problems with Hillary, but if it's between her and some abhorrent Republican (they're pretty much all abhorrent these days), I will vote for her, hands down.

5. I can't stand her either...
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 05:49 PM by TwoSparkles
...and I'm so tired of the corporate media propping up her candidacy.

She is not what we need.

She's remained silent on so many issues, during scary times--when our government
is being taken over by Fascist shills who hate our Constitution. She refused to
say that her vote on Iraq was a mistake--as Kennedy and Kerry both have done.

I think she's fine as a US Senator--because she does vote our way on numerous issues.
She's certainly better than a "Frist". However, she's standing by--saying nothing and
doing nothing about the pResident's abuse of power and torture-happy policies. As the
Dem nominee, she's just all wrong.

We need a kick-ass progressive from the outside--who will speak truth to power.

I will give up all hope for America if Hillary is our nominee.

6. This is good - no matter how DC "strategists" and pundits spin this - Kerry WON
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 05:49 PM by blm
because he will become the underdog and Hillary and others will still have to get past their OWN FEARS of GOP spin and be stuck DEBATING Kerry over Iraq and his policy versus their stay the course with Bush strategy.

WE won because the issue of the misspeak, poor people fighting rich men's wars is getting heard in a way it hasn't before.

And Kerry got to harrass Bush's failed policies in Iraq YET AGAIN.

9. You're joking right?
Kerry apologized to the troops because they misinterpreted what he said (by way of the Republican Noise Machine). But the media are still spinning it as if Kerry really did insult the troops.

The lie is out there that Kerry insulted the troops, and he has now apologized a day late. That's the story going around now. Not Bush's fuckup in Iraq.

We won nothing.

15. Not kidding at all. Did you see Zahn asking Snow about WHO SERVES?
It happened a few hours ago.

There's a thread on it somewhere.

And.....things change. I don't care if Hillary wants to take shots at Kerry - they'll have their opportunities to debate this the entire subject again someday soon.

democratic stratigists. That was their talking point yesterday. I don't necessarily have anything against Hillery, but my pick for 2008 is Wesley Clark.

13. Attacking Hillary isn't helping.
Democrats are just trying to maneuver beyond this overblown brouhaha the best way they know how and to get back on track in preparation for the election next week.

It is this inequity in the way politicians are dealt with here at DU that is underlying cause for acrimony.

25. You are certainly entitled to your opinion
... and by the same token I hope you will show the same grace to people that don't share your adoration of Kerry.

We either make an attempt to improve the discourse, or not. But the inequity in how we speak about politicians is out there now and the double standard is over.

I suppose she thinks people will "forgive" all her crap by 2008, but I won't! I wasn't happy with her before this, but this is it for me!

All this "positioning" she's doing is turning me off BIG TIME, and IF Kerry hurt himself for 2008, she just One-upped him!

29. Liberals think she's too conservative, Cons think she's too liberal
I think she's a moderate who leans to the left which is what I am on most issues. I don't necessarily want her to run but I'll vote for her. I would like to see that glass ceiling smashed finally even though I know it probably won't happen even if she does run. I'm a man too in case you wondered.

--after that, I won't give a shit one way or the other if the "democrat" wins or the repuke, b/c there won't be a whole helluva lot of difference between them. she is a repuke enabler, a war-monger, and a waffling "moderate." she appears not to care that people are suffering and dying gruesomely and horribly and UNNECESSARILY. she wants for nothing, her palm is well greased. even Mehlman throws parties for her. which is why they wimped out on Kerry.

Our troops are stuck in the military, they can't get even after they finish their military commitment, Rumsfeld won't discharge them.

...in spite of nagging suspicions that she may be just a political drone with no real convictions or party loyalty. Today she closed that book for me.

Some may think John Kerry took himself out of 2008 ... I think Hillary proved herself, finally and completely, unworthy!!
