Wouldn't these comments be better placed as "comments" under that thread, Moderators?

Why do we keep having multiple threads with no new information. Comments should be in comments, not threads.

This is nothing personal with anyone here. It'd just be nice to see some order so we don't end up with 20 Kerry stories and 5 KO stories on the front page and all other truly legitimate and individual threads bounced to the back pages.

Learn to live with it. There is no specific rule against this sort of thing anywhere except LBN.

And, just as some advice, questions about moderation policy are to be direct to the admins. That is in fact a rule.

9. here are some suggestions

If you don't comment on a thread, it will sink faster.

Contact the mods through email or via alert, not in threads.

This happens, multiple threads on the same sort of thing. For instance, the occupation of Iraq has multiple threads. It happens and is an accepted thing here. If you want different rules, I am sure there are other forums, or even start your own.

If you want to keep all other truly legitimate and individual threads on the first page, comment on them. But don't spam them.

Edited to correct typo and to add this is why there is an "ignore" button. Just click on it and viola, no more (whatever) thread.
