Clinton to speak at ASU 'get out vote' rally Thursday

Just in case you missed the first big name to come stump for Arizona's Democratic Party (Obama-mania anyone?) a second man with star power to boot is coming to Tempe.

Bill Clinton is now slated to speak at Arizona State University on Thursday, for a last minute "Get Out The Vote" rally.

The former president is scheduled to arrive at ASU about 4:15 p.m. Senate candidate Jim Pederson and Congressional candidate Harry Mitchell will be there, along with other candidates vying for positions.

In AZ-5, Hayworth in Trouble
In Arizona's 5th congressional district, a new SurveyUSA poll finds Harry Mitchell (D) inching ahead of Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ). Mitchell leads 48% to 46%.

The old dawg sure is getting around.

Just received a phone msg from from Jim Pederson telling us to go to his website and print out tickets.....did I say tickets are required.

They must be expecting a big turnout to hold it at Reid Park.

Don't think we will be able to make it.....being old and night vision not as good as it used to be, but I sure let my college grandson know about it and am hoping he takes full advantage.

(airport rally) at 9PM Thursday. He'll rally the troops for Patricia Madrid, who's challenging incumbent Bushbot Heather Wilson. Madrid and Bill Richardson will be among the dignitaries.
