Because of Iraq

A blunt new ad says the world is more dangerous… because of Iraq.

VoteVets Action Fund made up of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, is today unveiling an ad that directly takes on the now-infamous “These Are the Stakes” ad that began airing earlier this month.

Featuring four Iraq veterans and VoteVets.org Advisory Board Member, retired General Wesley Clark, the ad reminds Americans that the next time they see ads declaring the world is a more dangerous place, they should remember it is that way, because of Iraq.

"Because of Iraq"

Anthony Flores, Iraq War Veteran: "Because of Iraq, Osama bin Ladin is still a threat."

Robert Loria, Iraq War Veteran: "Because of Iraq, our military is spread too thin."

Joseph Kramer, Iraq War Veteran: "Because of Iraq, there are more terrorists in the world."

General Wes Clark (ret.): "Because of Iraq, America is less secure.

So if you see commercials telling you to be afraid of terrorism....

Remember, it's because of Iraq."

1. Vote Vets has had some powerful commercials
The ones that ran against Lieberman, Macaca Allen & the republic guy in Montana were all fantastic.

I only wish they had more money to run more ads.

4. I did DK, and it was really great to be able to...
...but you have to admit it's a different experience to see it show up on your TV while watching CNN. It's nice to see it OUT THERE!

5. Actually,
the ad on the front page is the TN version....The national version, linked on CCN's front page(and also in my thread in your fabulous new video forum), is a bit differnet than the TN version.

I really do love the new video forum, BTW...and the view counter. Great additions to the site.

8. I like the national version better
And I don't think it's because Clark gets more "face time" in it.

Is it just me, or does it, in the TN version that Skinner posted, seem like Jon Stolz dilutes the main message of the ad? I wonder who decided to modify the original for TN and why....
