Bush and McCain should apologize to the troops for their insensitivity in promoting a RW lie!

It is truly sad that the RW would distort an unrelated statement to create the impression that the troops were being insulted. The distortion was insensitive, and they obviously didn't care that it would end up hurting and insulting the troops.

3. The RW didn't say it. Kerry did. I heard the statement and
I have a family member who served in Iraq. I didn't find it funny. Even with context, I found it insulting.

In an era of "gotcha" politics, we really shouldn't be surprised when this happens on either side. What's surprising is how it's a huge issue when its some R, but then when it happens to us, we act like we're above it all. We aren't. We play the same games, regardless if we want to say it or acknowledge it.

4. You found a comment criticizing Bush insulting?
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 05:05 PM by ProSense
Since that was the context of the statement, Kerry was right on in his criticism of the administration's failed policicies! Bush should not have invaded Iraq based on a string of lies! That and his policy of torture could well expose him and members of his administration to war crimes!
