Dems gaining ground in Arizona senate, three house races
The MSM seems fixated on a few high profile races in such places as VA and TN, yet here we are out west in a nominally Republican state where Dems may pick up a senate seat and three house seats:

SENATE

Jim Pederson is polling behind Vile Jon Kyl in the single digits, but a survey of early voters -- one third of the electorate -- shows him leading. So the DSCC is buying up time in the Tucson and Phoenix markets to air ads from now til election day. The bottom line: Pederson has got a shot at winning.

HOUSE

AZ-08 is already a foregone conclusion, flipping to the Dems as Gabrielle Giffords leads Randy Graf to replace retiring GOP Rep. Jim Kolbe.

AZ-05, home of the insufferable JD Hayworth, shows some good signs for Dems. Latest poll shows Harry Mitchell moving ahead. Mitchell's endorsement from The Arizona Republic, which harshly castigated Hayworth after having endorsed him the previous six times, also adds to Mitchell's momentum.

AZ-01, home of Rick Renzi, one of the more corrupt members of Congress, now under investigation for some shady dealings. Some polls have shown challenger Ellen Simon in the lead or close. This will be the hardest pickup of the three, but it is doable.

1. I think Democrats will pick up at least 2 house seats here
Giffords is a lock as they said. Harry Mitchell will beat Hayworth narrowly.

2. They have a
rockin DEM gov too:headbang:

I know Goldwater leaves a bad taste in some DEM mouth but compared to some of this Neocon trash parading as Republican these days-the man was as enlightened as JFK. He was a sensible conservative-these days that would make him a Blue Dog DEM. This is why I think the DEM's will overtake the GOP in the Grand Canyon State.

4. Yeah, the MSM seems fixated only on certain races.
There are many, many that are important and they'll all add up to one great big victory. We need each and every seat we can get, no matter where it is!
