1. I'd love to have a list of who those soldiers are...
...just to keep tabs to see if they are dead in the next months from this stupid fucking war...

I feel sorry for them.

2. Somebody earlier debunked this pic as photoshopped.
But I can't remember the poster's name, nor the thread title. It was in GD and it was referencing Drudge and this pic.

6. I believe that someone remarked on the foliage, or lack thereof
along with the blurring of the paint on the sign.

I wish I could remember who posted it.

17. Yeah, it is real
They are a group of MN National Guardsmen stationed in Iraq.

That is what they just said on the local news here.

7. You mean they photoshopped their boots back onto the right feet?
That's not meant as a slam against "the troops," but just those troops stupid enough to think George W. Bush is a real hero and that Kerry is a "Moran."

9. The thread got yanked
I don't know why. Warpy thought it was photoshopped. Others felt it was legit but not of soldiers in Iraq. Someone mentioned those trees are deciduous and don't grow in Iraq. IOW, it's some soldiers stateside. I do believe that Drudge's source didn't claim they were in Iraq.

11. Well, that certainly explains why I can't find it. Thanks.
The tree thing was the thing I remembered, but I had to return to my paying job and didn't check back until just now.

12. That article just confuses the issue more. If those trees
don't grow in Iraq?....

Weird. Thanks for the link.

3. Now something tells me that the story behind this involves
ambitions for promotions. Surely they deserve a pat on the back from Rummy & their chickenhawk-in-chief -- & perhaps a very ambitious platoon leader.

21. I Had Such A Good Time With This Picture Today

It was sent to me at work by a far right-wing lady I used to work with. My response was as follows:

Dear________:

Just a gentle reminder---if John Kerry was president right now, those guys wouldn't be stuck in Iraq, we wouldn't owe China a trillion dollars, the National Guard would have arrived in flood-ravaged New Orleans before Sean Penn, and our Bill of Rights would still be intact.

All The Best,

____________

24. Excellent response
I am still appalled and saddened at how many people have so little concern for all the death and destruction our government is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Gotta keep those terrorists over there or they will follow us back here and overrun this country.
It's like bu$h jr doesn't know his geography and therefore the terrorist don't either... Wait a minute... That many be true. The real terrorists leaders are running the bu$h administration.

25. Story in the local paper...
says that these guys are stationed at an airbase in southern Iraq.

My Suggestion: These guys need to be assigned to convoy duty in Anbar Province. I'm sure they'd still think this is all a big fucking joke after a few of them get killed.
