Survey USA Approval of US Senators
Unfortunately, Olympia Snowe has the highest approval of all 100 Senators.

But, the bottom 3 are: Burns, DeWine and sitting at the very bottom is satanorum.

2. I find it interesting that 2 Pub Sens Snow & Collins are so high!
They ar the ones we Dems canmany times count on to fight against Bush's insanity. I would have thought they wouldn't have such high rankings because their Pub constituents would be pissed.

7. according to many polls she'll be re-elected by about
50-55%.
I saw one poll that has her leading by a 77-19% margin.
She doesn't need the vermin reich-wing of the republikkan party.
I wish she'd vote like she doesn't need their support.

5. Dayton is 39% but...
as interesting as he is, he's a good honest man.

I interned in DC last fall and my brother and just had nearly been killed. I asked Dayton's office to write up a letter and have Dayton personally sign it. Instead, Dayton hand-wrote a multi-page personal letter and mailed it to my brother thanking him for his service. A very good man, Dayton is.

9. Harry Reid is colored as a REPUBLICAN!!!
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 07:18 AM by krispos42
wtf?

<on edit>

Holy crap, a lot of them are wrong. Snow is blue, Conrad is red, Tim Johnson is red. Don't go by the color-coding, unless I'm missing some deep meaning here.

10. The color coding is for how the state went in the 2004
Presidential election.

It took me ahile to figure that out. I couldn't figure out why Chafee annd Snowe were in Blue. That's the only conclusion I can reach.

11. I may be wrong, but I interpreted the colour-coding as meaning whether the state went 'red' or 'blue
in 2004, rather than the senator's party.

Off-topic, but I do find it hilarious that there's a Republican senator called 'Crapo' - no. 15 on the list - why not just leave out the last letter?

13. Now it makes sense! Thank you both!
They could have mentioned that in the friggin' chart. A superscripted footnote would have been nice!

14. He's still in his term in office in which he was elected as a Democrat.
Let's leave the party purges for Stalinists and McCarthyites, please.

17. Damn grandfather clause
Besides, we didn't purge him. He purged himself when he dumped the Democratic party to start his own. He lost in an open election primary, and only the fact that the Connecticut legislature didn't change the filing dates for public office enabled him to file as in independent.

<sigh> You'd think being settled for coming up on 400 years they'd have that part down.

20. If you're talking about a US senator, you'll have to be more specific than McWhore
Something close to two-thirds of them deserve that nickname. And very few prostitutes deserve such an association.
