3. sexual "indiscretions" has a long tradition among evangelical preachers . . .

going back to Jim Bakker and that other guy whose name escapes me at the moment . . . the one whe went on tv to confess that "I have sinned!" and ask for forgiveness . . . it's what these guys DO -- all while preaching against the evils of the very behaviors they themselves are engaging in . . .

but it ain't the sex, which I couldn't care less about . . . it's the hypocrisy -- the doing one thing while preaching the exact opposite -- that makes these people look like the false prophets and fools they are . . .
