A question for any free republic member checking in this morning. A male prostitute said Haggard has paid him for sex for the last three years. Haggard has denied the accusations. So, why did he resign?

7. What a joke?

One article said he was in close contact with WH. Christians have lost the vision of the teachings of Jesus. No Christian should ever hold the spotlight in a government role. The purpose is to pray for & uphold the government whether liberal or conservative, christian or not, pro life or pro choice ect. Being a strong Christian believer myself I will never support their brand of Christianity. One preacher said, to the dismay of his congregation, "what we need is a righteous government not a Christian government". I will always support a righteous government that stands by it's people.
