11/3 Another set of New Rasmussen Polls MO, TN, VA.

Premium members so link yet.

Likely Voter
MO McCaskill 49% - Talent 48%
TN Corker 53% - Ford 45%
VA Webb 49% - Allen 49%

Ford numbers are depressing and the other 2 races are to close to call.

Note: Rasmussen doesn't tell voters about 3rd party candidates in these races. They ask if you choose (R),(D), other, or undecided. In VA and MO, the 3rd party candidate may influence the election. In VA, the 3rd party candidate on the ballot is the IG candidate, Gail Parker. From most other polling data I seen, 2:1 of the Parker's voters are register Dem. In MO it is just the opposite, the 3rd party candidate is (L) Frank Gilmour. Most of Gilmour's voters are register Rep.

6. I just dont trust Rasmussen's result ..for one
thing at this point in time the sampling is so low that the accuracy factor is questionable..In the case of TN..Well Rasmussen has always leaned right..If the poll results were averaged over the last 14 days I would say TN is still a dead heat..Corker himself said that their internal polls shows a much closer race than what this poll is showing..

7. I do not understand the TN poll either. My
neighbor, a fundamentalist who always has voted Republican, is now going to vote for Ford. I expect East Tennesseans to vote for Corker. It is a heavily Republican area, but I am in Middle TN and have heard of no one voting for Corker. Of course, those who know me would be afraid to say Corker because I might just hit them in the face with a brick.

9. Same here
Don't know if it matters much, but there are lots of Ford campaign signs that outnumber Corker ones. The only Corker signs I see are the ones in upper class neighborhoods. And I am in Middle TN also.

10. If you notice the trend, there has been a Republican surge in the last two
weeks..(actually in less time than that). My point is this, we dont know what questions are asked the respondent's.It could be borderline push polling. We know that only 3-400 samplings are taken by phone.Someone of course is paying for these surveys and Rove admitted a couple weeks ago that Republicans would be sponsorsing some polling.
So I just dont trust these polls..They are good for media commentary and it serves as good conversation with the so called political experts.
Zogby had an explanation of poll accuracy on his web site at one time..

11. Ford's numbers are better than the last poll I saw. This
one has an 8 point difference - the last one was 10. So he is making headway it seems to me.
