SUSA poll MD race show a tie at 47%.

SUSA

Before you get all worried about this, the last month SUSA poll showed this race was a tie as well. It even had Steele up by .5% last poll, while all the other polls showed Cardin up by at least 8%. Although I do think this race has really tighten up quickly, given all the outer polling data I think Cardin is winning from 3%-6%. Still, this race may now become the Dem most vulnerable seat.

1. I think a lot of Zeese voters will vote for Cardin if it looks close. Maryland
Greens will not joeopardize the possibility of taking the Senate away from the Republicans, imo.

2. If I see one more poll like this, I will officially get worried
But as of now, it's an outlier.

4. BS - SUSA always overstates Steele support
Last time they had it 46-46 and before that they had it Steele 48 and Cardin at 47. In fact Cardin hasn't led in ANY of their polls.

To put things in perspective, here are what the last 7 non SUSA polls say:

Garin-Hart-Yang - Cardin 52 - Steele 40
Rasmussen - Cardin 50 - Steele 45
Washington Post - Cardin 54 - Steele 43
Zogby Interactive - Cardin 53 - Steele 44
Potomac Inc - Cardin 49 - Steele 43
Zogby - Cardin 49 - Steele 44
Rasmussen - Cardin 50 - Steele 45

This poll is BS.

5. Average them out, including the SUSA poll, and you get + 6.62 Cardin
Until I see another poll like SUSA's I will remain confident.

6. It is close, but not tied
While Cardin averages 50 points in these polls (in fact staying steady at 50), Steele has gone from 40 to 45 in the last week. He hasn't been over 45 in any poll other than SUSA during the whole election cycle. But the trend is worrisome...
