Oh Boy, are you watching the coverage of the upcoming destruction of the GOP? |
|
Edited on Sat Nov-04-06 11:48 AM by Nimrod2005
I have been tuned into MSNBC all morning, here is a summary:
1) GOP candidates are trailing in all close house races 2) Looks like Dems have pickup momentum in the close Senate races 3) Interview with Republicans saying THEY ARE GOING TO RAISE taxes (panic setting in...Yelling at the world...) 4) Whora has one interview with a Dems where the GOP person failed to show up to provide an opposite view? Supposedly got busy somewhere (yeah right!) 5) Joe dead intern Scarface breaks it all down saying they are imploding 6) Interview with Pat Buschanon saying it is all over 7) Then, we bring you a report about a CLOSE Bush religious dude who like anal sex and meth 8) MSNBC new poll just came out and the news is very bad for the GOP
Oh wait there is more devastating news:
9) PNAC NeoCons turned against Bush, they think he is a dumbass 10) Oh my God!!! All military newspapers want Bush to fire Dummy! 11) Someone brought up a picture on the front page of he NYT, a shot soldier in Iraq...etc. not good to see right before 11/7 12) Oh, and a bunch of Katrina mentions for balance!!!
I have not seen a obituary anywhere, I will let you know as soon as it is released...
:toast: :bounce:

15. And maybe you have a point. |
|
Maybe the country is finally getting energized enough to say, "We've had enough," and are willing to give up their creature comforts long enough to take back their country. So far it has been too much of an inconvenience for them, but we'll see how things develop.
At any rate I do think we are at show time, so now is when we will find out what's what.

24. Are you forgetting the Repubs massive vote manipulation ability- |
|
that switched millions of votes in 2004 and 2000 and swung the elections?
Is everyone aware of what needs to be done to minimize the vote count manipulation and active in auditing proceedures and results. If not, it will be just like in 2004. There are things that can be done, but everyone needs to participate not only in voting but monitoring the registration and vote count proceedures.
For example, someone in every precinct should take down the vote totals at the precinct at the end of the day and compare these to offically announced results, and also check against the number signing in to vote on the books.
Someone should monitor city and county compilation proceedures when the votes are being compiled and tallied.
Someone should monitor absentee ballot proceedures and counting. Likewise for provisional ballot proceedures and counting, in all jurisdictions.

27. It's long been said that Repugs know how to campaign |
|
but are totally inept when it comes to actual governing. If nothing else, the last 6 six years have underscored that maxim.
Unfortunately it took trillions of dollars in additional debt, thousands of mangled bodies, 2,900 dead troops, tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's, and levels of deceit and corruption not seen in decades, to remind American's what Republicanism is really all about.
But hey, Paris Hilton got a nice big tax break, Neil Bush became fabulously wealthy, we've been entertained by Rumsfeld's comically snid quips to the media, and gas has fallen to under $3 a gallon until after the election, so wasn't it all worth it?

28. Six Arab nations going nuclear |
|
And you know that "developing alternative energy" isn't much of an excuse.
This hasn't percolated into the headlines here, yet for some reason, though Reuters and AP have recently covered it, but I'm guessing we'll be hearing more.
Interesting how it came just a couple days after we provided plans for developing nuclear materials online, isn't it?
I think we're going to take the Senate.

I am basking in the glory of the downfall of that party of thugs and thieves. Everywhere I go, it seems you can feel it in the air. There will be change. Even an election theft won't stop it. Although it might slow it down, the theft of the election will only enrage the public even more. I feel real hope for the first time in years; Americans are waking up and remembering what being American is all about! :kick:

After twelve annums of the opressive doctrines of these imperialistic aristocrats, our revolutionary leaders shall once again take hold of what is correctly theirs! There is no reason to believe that the proletariat shall any longer tolerate the crimes of the bourgeoisie as they wage this capitalistic war against the proletariat of other regions.

Edited on Sat Nov-04-06 07:20 PM by truedelphi
I woke up thinking that it was Saturday Nov 4th 2006
But reading this I realize it's dinner time on the West Coast Nov 2 2004 and all the pollsters are saying that the Demcoratic candidate John Kerry is a shoe in for the presidency.
The liberal community I lived in then is celebrating and celebrating; the young waiters and waitresses look like they understand that their student debt will be less, their chances of dying in Iraq will be less IN fact with Kerry as Prez the world might be a COOL place
And then about three more hours, it's a bust - John Kerry has lost and Bush the **ckh**d is back in
Until we have the machinery ousted - until it's a paper ballot hand counted and video taped while being counted, it's a bust
They know it - that's why Cheney can say what he is saying

49. Winning by default is the best we can do? |
|
I am working and praying for victory on Tuesday. But honestly, the GOP will not go soul-searching. The public has turned on them for their poor performance, not because we have shown that they are wrong and we are right. Quite the contrary. We have plenty of candidates who are deathly afraid to tell that part of the truth.
Repubs are still running ads to this day 'accusing' their opponents of being liberal. We are losing this idea war very badly. But it ain't over yet!
One day soon, a candidate will be accused of being liberal, and he will rightly respond, "Well thank you. I do my best!"
