IMO, NBC dedicated to an informed electorate ... NOT! |
|
Tomorrow (Sunday) morning's political news by Chris Matthews and then by Tim Russert have been re-scheduled for the earliest hours of Sunday morning - - THIS, the week end before the election - - on NBC TV New York City (reaching CT, NJ and NY). Why?
In their place NBC has decided to give us the New York Marathon (buncha idiots running around in their underwear) FOLLOWED SHORTLY BY ...NASCAR!
This on the week end following NBC's determination not to broadcast advertisements for the Dixie Chicks movie.
And who owns NBC? One of America's biggest war contractors, GE (they bring good things to kill).
Something's very wrong with my picture.

2. Around here they don't even broadcast Tweety's show... |
|
... and MTP is on around 8:00. Not many people are going to get up at 8:00 to watch MTP.

It is not in their best interest (read: their bottom line) to have an electorate that is well-informed. An informed electorate would probably send all the corporatist electeds home within three election cycles... they can't have that! If they had their way, they'd drop ALL their news programming in favor of mindless entertainment. But, since they can't, they just give us "infotainment" and call it "news". We know the difference, so we are the lucky ones. A lot of the rest of America doesn't.

6. Several days before a national election? Yes!!! |
|
And the people who would watch a marathon on television, and the people who would watch NASCAR, instead of what's really happening in our nation and its governing elite
