Electoral Vote.com: Projected New Senate Dems 51 GOP 49!!
Edited on Sat Nov-04-06 01:29 PM by Mark E. Smith
House: 240 Democrats to 195 Republicans

All the latest polls are taken into account, and we're winning! Apparently
Bush's visit to Missouri did not have quite the effect his handlers hoped
for ...

1. Are they taking the FRAUD Machines into account?

After watching the HACK HBO Presentation I am so afraid...

2. He's got Joementum winning CT. How does that get us to 51 Dems?

3. I just saw that, but there were a few things that bothered me.
1. According to them Ford is down 7 points in Tennessee. Not good
2. Cardin only leads Steele by 5? A lead's a lead but this one looks closer than I hoped it would be.
3. Lieberman is still up by double digits over Lamont. Shit.

I think we'll still win Maryland, Montana, and Missouri, but it looks like Tennessee is slipping away and Joe will be back :scared:

13. We don't need a Lamont win or Tennessee to retake the senate.
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 02:36 AM by Clarkie1
The good news is Missouri, Virgina, and Montana are looking good! :-)

If I were in charge, I'd be pouring all our resources for the senate into Virgina and Missouri right now, and to a lesser extent Montana (that races looks firmer). As for Tennessee, I would still hope for the best because there is still hope there.

But all it takes is Missouri, Virginia, and Montana, and that is looking better by the hour.

5. Not so good
They have CT listed as a Democratic win when Loserman is ahead in the polls. He is just a Repuke in Dem clothes or Independent clothes. So what we got is 50 Democratic Senators, 49 repukes and Loserman who always votes like a repuke. So it will really be 50 Dems and 50 repukes.

7. Quite simply: Bullshit.
Lieberman will caucus with the dems. I may not like him, but at least I don't let my bias influence my critical thinking. Saying that Lieberman always votes like a repuke is a LIE. I hate this kind of lie. Go take a look at his voting record. He's pro-choice, pro-affirmative action, fairly good on gay/lesbian issues and the environment. In fact, he's a lot more liberal than many other dem Senators such as Landrieu, Bayh, Nelson, etc. He's strongly pro-Iraq war, and that's more than reason enough to dump his ass, but he's not a repuke.

8. I tend to agree.
I really want Lamont to win, but I don't think that if Lieberman wins he will become a republican. He was not thrown out of the party; he chose to run as an Independent. Although I don't like him, I think he will remember that.

10. Are you kidding me?
Joe ONLY thinks of himself. He has absolutely no honor left. Anyone who would name a "party" Connecticut for Joe, instead of Joe for Connecticut, has his priorities on backwards.

Also, he WAS thrown out by the party, in the only way they could do it. He LOST the Democratic primary. A true Democrat would have accepted the defeat and supported the winner.

He'll only "remember" to advance his own agenda. Nothing more, nothing less.

12. What I meant by not being thrown out was that the voters chose
Lamont over him, which does not mean that he was thrown out. No democrats in office ever encouraged him to get out, they did not even campaign for Lamont until he won the nomination. Do I agree that he should have backed out of the race? Yes. But he made clear what he intended to do if he lost, and followed through. If he does switch parties altogether then he is clearly a liar, but I don't think that is what he is going to do.

14. I think you're correct. Lieberman is an experienced politician....

and a survivor. He made a big gamble staying
in the race as an independent. He will caucus
with the Dems even though he took Repug money
to get there.

If its a 50/50 senate Lieberman will be in the
cat bird seat.

9. If Loseman votes in the Senate like a repuke can't he be stripped
of his committee chairs etc? Don't you have to at least play ball
with the other democrats?

11. Oh, c'mon! Get real!
I wish Lamont would win, too, but Lieberman WILL caucus with Dems and HAS historically voted for traditional Democratic issues.

I definitely don't like his views on Iraq, but to say he is equivalent to another Republican is just ludicrous.

15. A 50/50 tie with deadeye Dick holding the final vote.
The electoral vote counter has been 51 Republicans to 49 democrats for at least weeks now.
