At stops in Orlando and Fort Myers, Crist was dogged by questions based on continuing rumors in blogs and gay publications that he was gay.
Asked by TV reporters about the rumors in Orlando, Crist uncharacteristically ducked away after a quick answer and sat in an SUV while Bush addressed the issue.

"Silly season junk. Next question," Crist said in Orlando.

In Fort Myers, Crist called such claims "absolutely false" and blamed them on "desperate" tactics from Democrats.
"We're living in uncivil, ugly times," Bush said of political discourse.
"It shouldn't be a surprise, hours to go, that these types of things come up to try to change the dynamics of an election, and people discount it because of it."

More interesting clips from this article that need some major play:

Davis' plan would reinstitute the intangibles tax on investments paid mostly by wealthy Floridians and in turn, cut property taxes for all Floridians, including business owners and landlords who would presumably share those savings with renters.
"Everyone will get a property tax cut," Davis said. "Homeowners like my wife Peggy and me, small business owners like these gentlemen, and renters like Charlie Crist."

But Crist and Bush focused on Davis' plan to reinstate the intangibles tax.
Crist told volunteers in Jacksonville to remind voters of the tax increase.
"If anybody is out there and you're knocking on doors and they say, 'Well, I'm thinking about the other guy.' Say, how would you like $2,500 in new taxes next year?' " Crist said.

Asked where he had arrived at that figure, Crist said he "probably" saw it in a Republican Party of Florida news release that was based on faulty assumptions by taking the cumulative total of tax cuts under Bush of nearly $20 billion and simply dividing it among taxpayers.

Asked if Crist's plan would help small business owners and renters, Bush - the self-described "policy nerd" - said he wasn't sure. "I don't know, to be honest with you. I haven't seen the details of the proposal. Here's what I know for a fact. Charlie Crist has never been associated with a tax increase. Jim Davis, on the other hand, has," Bush said.

Davis is still trailing Crist in the latest polls but believes he is gaining and will get a boost from an event tonight in Miami with former President Clinton.

Crist, meanwhile, was mum on whether he would appear with President George W. Bush - a divisive figure this campaign season nationally - when Bush appears at a Monday event in Pensacola.

Is Charlie.... we don't care unless he is being hypocritical with his opposition to gay marriage and gay adoption. Are you, Charlie?

Is Charlie mumbling *fuzzy math* with Davis' intangibles tax plan? It's a good thing he's not an accountant.

Is Charlie.... too chicken to be seen with HIS PRESIDENT?? Sure looks like it.

We deserve better than this cardboard Jeb wannabe.

1. Maybe if you repukes didn't pursue a gay-bashing agenda, you wouldn't
have to deal with these questions.

3. State of Denial
Pretty funny these repukes find no problem spending millions to investigate sex accusations between adults but this guy can't say if he likes men or women. Since this a repuke... the categories boys and girls should be added.
