1. Of course it was. Classic Southern Strategy. Divide us by race to keep the poor white folks
voting against their best interests.

So Ford is skiing with a white woman. Are Tennesseans that backward? Are there supposed to be white-only ski slopes?

4. You'd be wrong.
There has been push polling by the nasal-Corker, but they didn't ask that question.

And, no, most Tennesseans aren't that backward, but, when you have the 13 percent of confirmed racists voting alongside the 15 percent of evangelicals and the other 10 percent of "I vote Republican because my family always votes Republican and I'm not gonna change," then you have a serious problem with lack of intelligent media alternatives - and a Republican who isn't qualified with a shot of winning.

:(

7. I've noticed a lot of similarity
Between Tennessee and Texas, but you put a really fine point on it. We have exactly the same problems in Texas. Not everywhere, but in some places it really is loathsome.

6. I bet a lot of white Tennesseans
Didn't even know Ford was black before that ad ran, and the hub-bub afterward.

Most people just don't pay much attention and probably never saw a photo of him. Now, most of those who didn't know probably won't vote, especially in mid-terms, but in a close race, it could be enough to make a difference.

8. Corker's people wanted to get the word out in subtle ways, so they can't be
called race-baiting. Nice try.
