Negative campaign adds

I know this want come as a surprise to anyone here, but i was curious about how much money was spent on negative campaign adds and what party spent the most. So i did a little research and came up with the following, and surprise surprise !!


Campaign finance reports, which require that ads be identified as negative or positive, show that Republican committees have spent nearly twice as much on negative campaigning as Democrats as of Oct. 18 -- $55.1 million versus $28.7 million .
