5. Know Anything about Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc.
are they credible? This is the second poll I've seen from them posted on DU with favorable numbers for GOP candidates.

11. I don't. Read somewhere though that tradesport had been more
accurate in their predictions than any of the polls. Hope that's true because they have us winning all but Tennessee.

3. This is what makes me sick about being an American..
The fact that an idiot like Burns is not somewhere in the thirties like Bush is just beyond me WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? Where do they get their infromation? Why are they not aware of the fact that they have been lied to cheated etc etc. I just don't get it. They choose to be stupid and cowardly becasue they are afraid of the unknown. I really don't think the Dems are going to take either house. I think at the end of the day the fear mongers will win and the Dems are going to be screwed over just like Dewey. I am very afraid the Wednesday morning headlin is ging to be "Republicans Dodge a Bullit"

9. Rasmussen has Tester 50% to 46%
November 3, 2006

Montana offers another Senate race where a Republican who had been closing the gap in the final weeks may be falling a bit short. With only a few days left in the election, Republican Senator Conrad Burns now trails Democrat Jon Tester 50% to 46% (see crosstabs). <http://www.rasmussenreports.com/2006/State%20Polls/Nove... >

10. Personally I think we'll be disappointed Wed AM
we will probably take the House by a smallish margin, end up with 48 Sens or so, counting Joe and Bernie.

A large portion of the electorate, especially those away from big cities, are still under the control of hate radio. There are alot of really ignorant voters out there, or brainwashed ones. Witness how Corker's unabashedly racist ads wrapped up the TN Senate seat for him.

Our pickups in the red states will be disappointing.

12. I think you got it
I'm not getting myself as worked up emotionally, because I was a mess in '04 after the election for several weeks following the election.

I think Dems will take the House by a few seats. It will likely be a narrow victory. I see the senate as almost impossible. This Montana thing really has me confused - fucking Abramoff toadie and he might get back in...How stupid can people be?

And I'm really hoping the Chafee poll showing him ahead by a point is an outlier. THough a point really means nothing. Oh well, I suppose though looking at it some of these races weren't seen as competitive in the first place...so it's a wonder we've even come to point where we're very possible taking back the House.

14. I think so too
Right now, they are hammering home their fear message.

Unless our side pounds back, in unison, I think we will have modest gains. And some very capable public servants are not going to gain the office(s) they worked so hard to secure.

But let's hope we're wrong!
