Joe Piscopo -- Turncoat Democrat or what? |
|
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 07:09 PM by mcscajun
I got home a few minutes ago to find a message on my answering machine.
A recorded message from Joe Piscopo to GOTV...for Thomas Kean. "I'm a Democrat, but I'm voting for Tom Kean..." The message was sponsored by something that sounded like the "Sol and Jerry(?) Society for Justice and Good Government."
Since receiving this message, I've found postings outside of DU to the effect that Joe's been at this all week, in many cases tailoring his message to the large Italian-American community in NJ. This same community has been receiving messages claiming that Menendez "betrayed" Sam Alito. Ugh.
I'll be voting tomorrow, Joe, but it won't be for Tommy's little boy. NFW. I'm a true Democrat.

tailored to Italian-Americans. I hung up after the first few words. I just remember him saying "my Italian-American friends".

I remember when the cast with Joe Piscopo started. I couldn't even watch it. :hide:

He was on Saturday Night Live a long time ago. Did a funny imitation of Sinatra, if I recall. Guess he is a moran now???
Yes I actually edited this to correct my mispelling of moran!

Kean may not have had to hire him. In any case, the phone calls aren't from the Kean campaign. NOT that I care, 'cause I'd sooner vote for a yellow dog than a Republican, no matter WHO calls my house or what outfit paid for the call. :)

I think I saw him on one of those "You'll never believe whose stumping for Bush" back in 2004. Whenever they parade the has beens out they always say that. The worst of which is Don King, who beat a man to death when he was a loan shark.

About the only reason he gave for voting for Kean was that "he was a friend of Italian-Americans".

26. Didn't he get an Oscar nomination for Happy Gilmore? |
|
The guy is a buffoon. Are there any decent actors that are conservative? I was dissapointed to hear about the wife on Everybody Loves Raymond. She is in the anti-stem cell research ad. I won't watch that show anymore. I knew she was a repub but now that she is out there trying to stifle cures by running ads, it's time to boycott her. Piscopo is so washed up there would be nothing to boycott.
