I have been sitting here screwing around on DU with the television blaring over my head. I tend not to watch it, but my kid left it on when I was here last. In the past 45 minutes I have been subjected to 17 Republican ads. Not one damn ad for a Democratic candidate. Not one! Where the hell are they?

Every single ad has been anti-opponent. Not a single one has anything positive to say about the candidate running, just crap against the Democratic opponent. There is a really stupid ad against Jim Davis that keeps playing twice in a row each time they air it.

It really pisses me off that a) negative ads work and b) Democrats aren't advertising on network television around here. WTF?

That's a likely reason. And fat cats can give plenty to 'issues groups' unlike the $2000 they are limited with actual candidates.

The ultra rich want to keep their puppets in power. They will bankroll a lot in that effort.

3. Here in Northern VA, Webb seems to be matching Allen ad for ad

Cardin seems to be outdoing his opponent also.
