USA Today/Gallup - Ford only down by 3
Within margin of error! http://www.usatoday.com//news/polls/tables/live/2006-11-05-state-polls.htm

Today I went to my usual Sunday afternoon restaurant of choice. Everyone I talked with said they were voting for Ford!

GO FORD! GO FORD! GO FORD!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

:bounce:

If Ford wins, on Wednesday morning I may look like this!

:hangover:

3. My last comment ..........
regarding how I might look on Wednesday morning reflects a night of celebration leading to a hangover if Ford wins.

Got the wine stocked!

19. Actually if we win in Virginia and Missouri, we won't need Tennessee
But that said, winning in Tennessee will be a very sweet victory--if only because once Harold gets in that seat, I get the feeling it's gonna be a blue seat for a long long time.

5. Elizabeth Dole flat out lied about him on MTP. What a piece of work
she is. (and that's being polite) :eyes:

SEN. DOLE: I did not see it as racist. I respect those who saw it otherwise. But let me tell you what that ad did: It pointed out his views on, on his record, that he is, he’s on the wrong side of the abortion issues, that he’s protected gay marriage, that he has an F from...

SEN. SCHUMER: He’s voted against gay marriage every time.

CHEAT AND LIE = GOP

He should sue her for slander.

15. We are through the looking glass
When we actually defend candidates who are against gay marriage and constitutional rights. Are there any Progressives in Tennessee, or will it be a state perpetually in the 18th Century?

20. You're not going to have every candidate fall into lock step on every issue.
We cut slack to candidates, who have to represent their constituents, after all, on any number of local issues. Equal rights are important, but we have to be realistic about what gains we can make in what is still a pretty cutting edge field of civil rights. And Ford is right on the war--the current strategy is not working and it's time to employ smarter approaches. Equal rights won't mean much if we keep letting Bush make al-Qaeda stronger, bigger, more popular, and better trained at killing.

up to defend Ford's record on gay marriage. :wtf:

7. .
Yes, and Rasmussen showed him trailing by 4.
Not all is lost I guess and many races are getting closer. I know that Ford is not the dream of a liberal but I'd still be very glad if he won it.

9. If Ford can give George Bush the worst day of his life he's OK by me
I've never considered myself a partisan Democrat but frankly this year I'm rooting for the entire team.

statistically speaking, you can't say one is ahead of the other.

12. I think this is about the margin...
I am still afraid that race is still an issue in TN... especially when it plays to stereotypes (as this race has played out)

within the African-American community. The AA turnout has been huge in the early voting.
