Why in the hell are you reading THIS?!
Folks, the Republicans are showing a huge surge in the polls just like they always do before an election.

Why?

Because they have a network, a machine, that gets out their voters. They mobilize and get 'er done.

Stop screwing around reading blogs and turn off your computer. Pick up your telephone and call your local Democratic party. It's under "D" in the phone book. Or it might be under the name of your county.

Ask what you can do--it may be leafleting a neighborhood. It may be calling voters who got advanced ballots and haven't sent them in. It maybe encouraging registered Democrats who haven't voted in the last election to vote this time.

Whatever it is, it will be important last-minute work that you can bet your ass Republicans are doing RIGHT NOW.

If you are too tired, too busy, too shy or whatever to actively campaign . . . congratulations, you're part of the problem. You're part of the reason we've had eight years of the Worst. President. Ever.

Don't get mad. GET EVEN.

And that means GET BUSY.

Now get going . . .

4. I have a full-time job
I'm stuck in an office from 8-5, but I do what I can once I'm out of here. Please don't assume that everyone who's on DU right now are slackers. :)

5. Heh, I don't . . . But some ARE slackers. And others could do a little more.
I really don't like seeing big swings in favor of Repukes all of a sudden. We've got to dig in and get people pounding the pavement as well as pounding the keyboards, heh.
